I must admit this could have been user error causing my previous issues so I thought I would explain in case anyone else encounters the same issues. the flame torch level must be turned all the way up to avoid my previous issues. Just be careful because the flame is pretty high. So the bottom line is high torch levels or basically none....
this is my all time favorite torch the flame is uncomparable to any other one i ever had but could use a slightly bigger tank

There was something rattling around inside my lighter and after a few messages back and forth it was decided I would receive a replacement.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
